## Parts and values

- Blackout humbucker: Blackout humbucker; generic (Blackouts Active Humbucker)
- Volume 25K: Volume 25K; 25k; compatible example (EMG 25K Pot)
- Tone 25K: Tone 25K; 25k; compatible example (EMG 25K Pot)
- .047 cap: .047 cap; 47nF; compatible example (Orange Drop .047µF)
- Stereo output jack: Stereo output jack; compatible example (Switchcraft \#12B)
- 9V battery clip: 9V battery clip; compatible example (9V Battery Clip)
- Bridge ground: Bridge ground; generic (Bridge ground wire)

## Specific to this wiring

- Volume and tone input lugs are jumpered as drawn on the source sheet.
- Stereo jack ring switches battery negative to ground when a plug is inserted.

## Connections

1. Blackout humbucker gnd → Volume 25K casing (wire, bare)
2. Volume 25K lug1 → Volume 25K casing (wire, ground)
3. .047 cap b → Tone 25K casing (wire, ground)
4. Tone 25K casing → Volume 25K casing (wire, ground)
5. Stereo output jack sleeve → Tone 25K casing (wire, black)
6. Bridge ground ground → Volume 25K casing (wire, black)
7. Blackout humbucker hot → Volume 25K lug3 (wire, white)
8. Blackout humbucker vplus → 9V battery clip vplus (wire, red)
9. 9V battery clip vminus → Stereo output jack ring (wire, black)
10. Volume 25K lug3 → Tone 25K lug3 (wire, black)
11. Volume 25K lug2 → Stereo output jack tip (wire, black)
12. Tone 25K lug2 → .047 cap a (wire, black)

## What each position does

- Always on (active): No pickup reaches the output. Source: Passive simulation is not applied to active pickups; wiring topology only.

- Active pickup gain and frequency response are not simulated.
- The catalog active buffer is approximated with seymour-duncan-blackout-humbucker terminals.
