Two tapped single coils · Three-way blade · Push/pull volume (coil tap) · One tone

Standard Telecaster three-way switching with tapped neck and bridge single coils. One push/pull on the 250k volume taps both pickups at once. One 250k tone with a .047 µF capacitor.

- Ground wire from bridge: ground wire from bridge; generic (Bridge ground wire)

## Specific to this wiring

- Sheet title: Tele \| 2 tapped single coils, 1 volume push/pull coil tap, 1 tone \| 3 way blade.
- Each pickup's White and Red leads go to one column of the push/pull (neck on the left column, bridge on the right), white on the top lug and red on the bottom lug. Each column's middle lug runs to one of the blade's commons.
- The sheet prints no push/pull settings legend and does not say which lead is the tap. Red is taken as the tap and white as the full-coil hot: red sits on the lugs nearest the pot, which join the middle row when the knob is pulled. These are the same lead colours and lug positions as Seymour Duncan's single-tapped Tele push/pull sheet.
- Both Black leads go to the volume Solder spot.
- The blade lugs are not numbered on the sheet; they are mapped by what they do (neck, both, bridge), as on the standard Tele sheet. Two lugs are drawn empty.
- Source legend: the grey 'Solder' spot = location for ground (earth) connections.
- The volume's right lug is drawn bent up onto the casing under the Solder spot.
- The volume and tone Solder spots are joined by a line drawn dashed.
- Tip (hot output). Sleeve (ground): this is the inner, circular portion of the jack.

## Connections

2. Bridge tapped single coil black (ground) → Volume 250k push/pull casing (wire, black)
3. Volume 250k push/pull right lug → Volume 250k push/pull casing (wire, ground)
4. .047 cap leg B → Tone 250k casing (wire, black)
5. Tone 250k casing → Output jack sleeve (wire, black)
6. Tone 250k casing → Volume 250k push/pull casing (wire, black)
7. Ground wire from bridge → Volume 250k push/pull casing (wire, black)
8. Volume 250k push/pull switch left column middle lug (pole A common) → 3-Way switch T8 common (right row, top lug) (wire, black)
9. Volume 250k push/pull switch right column middle lug (pole B common) → 3-Way switch T4 common (left row, bottom lug) (wire, black)
10. 3-Way switch T3 (left row, top lug) → 3-Way switch T2 (left row, second lug) (wire, black)
11. 3-Way switch T2 (left row, second lug) → 3-Way switch T6 (right row, third lug) (wire, black)

13. 3-Way switch T5 (right row, bottom lug) → Volume 250k push/pull left lug (wire, black)
14. Neck tapped single coil white (full hot) → Volume 250k push/pull switch left column top lug (pole A, down) (wire, white)
15. Neck tapped single coil red (tap) → Volume 250k push/pull switch left column bottom lug (pole A, up) (wire, red)
16. Bridge tapped single coil white (full hot) → Volume 250k push/pull switch right column top lug (pole B, down) (wire, white)
17. Bridge tapped single coil red (tap) → Volume 250k push/pull switch right column bottom lug (pole B, up) (wire, red)
18. Volume 250k push/pull left lug → Tone 250k left lug (wire, black)
19. Volume 250k push/pull middle lug (wiper) → Output jack tip (wire, black)
20. Tone 250k middle lug (wiper) → .047 cap leg A (wire, black)

## What each position does

- Neck (full): Neck tapped single coil (both coils).
- Neck (tapped): Neck tapped single coil (split to one coil).
- Neck + bridge (both full): Neck tapped single coil (both coils) and Bridge tapped single coil (both coils) in parallel.
- Neck + bridge (both tapped): Neck tapped single coil (split to one coil) and Bridge tapped single coil (split to one coil) in parallel.
- Bridge (full): Bridge tapped single coil (both coils).
- Bridge (tapped): Bridge tapped single coil (split to one coil).

- Which lead is the tap and which knob position taps are not printed on this sheet; the expected states assume red = tap and pulled = tapped (see notes).
- The tapped single coils are modelled as two coil sections; the tap point's turns ratio and output level are not specified.
- Pickup resistance and magnet polarity are not specified, so no numeric meter readings or hum-cancelling claims are given.

## Check before plugging in

- In each blade position with the knob down, the meter across the jack should read the neck, both in parallel, or the bridge at full output.
- Pull the knob: each engaged pickup's reading should drop to its tapped section.
- With the volume at zero, tip and sleeve should read as a short.
