Three tapped single coils · Five-way blade · Three ON/ON SPDT mini-toggles (full/tap) · One volume · Two tones

Strat-style five-way switching with three tapped single coils. Each pickup has its own two-position (ON/ON) SPDT mini switch that picks its full or tapped output. One 250k master volume; two 250k tones (neck and middle, switched through the blade's second pole) share one .022 µF capacitor.

## Specific to this wiring

- Sheet title: 3 tapped single coils \| 1 volume \| 2 tone, 3 3-way mini-toggles \| 5 way blade. Mini-toggles switch between full output and tapped output. The switches are labelled SPDT mini switches.
- The title says '3 3-WAY MINI-TOGGLES', but this diagram does not follow it: the mini switches are modelled as two-position ON/ON SPDT toggles. This sheet draws them as three-lug parts labelled 'SPDT mini switches' and prints no setting for a centre position. Seymour Duncan's sister sheet 3S\_2mt\_1V (same 2006 Basslines series) draws the identical three-lug part and labels it 'ON/ON SPDT Mini-toggle switches'.
- Each pickup's red lead goes to its mini switch's top lug and its white lead to the bottom lug; the centre lug runs to the blade. Black wires from all pickups go to the master volume Solder spot.
- The sheet does not say which of red and white is the tap, or which lever position taps. Red is taken as the tap and white as the full-coil hot, the same lead colours as Seymour Duncan's tapped Tele push/pull sheet; the expected states follow that reading.
- The blade lugs are not numbered on the sheet; they are mapped by what they do. The bridge, middle and neck mini switches feed the pole A throws for positions 1-2, 2-4 and 4-5, the pole A common is jumpered to the pole B common, which feeds the volume. Pole B's middle and neck throws feed the two tones; its bridge throw is drawn empty, so the bridge pickup has no tone control.
- The .022 cap sits between the upper tone's third lug and its Solder spot; the upper tone's third lug also runs to the lower tone's middle lug, so both tones share the one cap.
- The two tone wires from the blade cross near the lower tone; the one to the upper tone is drawn with a hop, so they are not joined.
- The master volume's third lug is drawn bent back onto its casing.
- Source legend: the grey 'Solder' spot = location for ground (earth) connections.
- Tip (hot output). Sleeve (ground): the inner, circular portion of the jack.

- The title calls the minis '3-way'; they are modelled as two-position ON/ON SPDT toggles (evidence: sister sheet 3S\_2mt\_1V labels the same three-lug part 'ON/ON SPDT'). Any centre position a three-position part might have is not modelled.
- Which lead is the tap and which mini switch position taps are not printed on this sheet; the expected states assume red = tap on the top lug (throw 1) and white = full on the bottom lug (throw 2).
- The tapped single coils are modelled as two coil sections; the tap point's turns ratio and output level are not specified.
- Pickup resistance and magnet polarity are not specified, so no numeric meter readings or hum-cancelling claims are given.

## Check before plugging in

- In each blade position, the meter across the jack should read the selected pickup(s); flipping a selected pickup's mini switch should move its reading between the tapped and full sections.
- With the volume at zero, tip and sleeve should read as a short.
