Two humbuckers · Three-way toggle · One volume · Two tones

Neck and bridge Seymour Duncan humbuckers, each with its own 500k tone and .047 µF capacitor ahead of a three-way toggle, then one 500k master volume. The red and white leads on each pickup are joined and taped off.

## Specific to this wiring

- On each pickup, solder the red and white leads together and tape them off.
- Each pickup's black lead goes to the top lug of its own tone pot, and that lug continues to the toggle.
- The neck green and bare end on the neck tone casing; the bridge green and bare end on the bridge tone casing.
- The toggle's frame lug and the bridge ground wire end on the volume casing; the jack sleeve ends on the bridge tone casing.
- The pot casings are linked: neck tone to volume, and neck tone to bridge tone.
- The Solder spots mark the locations for ground (earth) connections.
- The toggle tags are not labelled in the source, so they are mapped by what each does.

## Connections

1. Neck green → Neck tone casing (case, green)
2. Neck bare shield → Neck tone casing (shield, bare): Drawn grey beside the green.
3. Neck .047 cap → Neck tone casing (case)
4. Bridge green → Bridge tone casing (case, green)
5. Bridge bare shield → Bridge tone casing (shield, bare): Drawn grey beside the green.
6. Bridge .047 cap → Bridge tone casing (case)
7. Volume right lug → Volume casing (case): Lug bent onto the casing.
8. Toggle frame lug → Volume casing (case, black)
9. Neck tone casing → Volume casing (case, black)
10. Neck tone casing → Bridge tone casing (case, black)
11. Bridge ground wire → Volume casing (shield, black)
12. Bridge tone casing → Jack sleeve (wire, black)
13. Neck tone top lug → Toggle neck lug (wire, black)
14. Bridge tone top lug → Toggle bridge lug (wire, black)
15. Toggle middle lug → Volume left lug (input) (wire, black)
16. Neck red → Neck white (insulated, red): Soldered together and taped off.
17. Neck black → Neck tone top lug (wire, black)
18. Bridge red → Bridge white (insulated, red): Soldered together and taped off.
19. Bridge black → Bridge tone top lug (wire, black)

## What each position does

- Rhythm (neck): Neck Pickup (both coils). Source: Neck pickup through the neck tone.
- Both: Neck Pickup (both coils) and Bridge Pickup (both coils) in parallel. Source: Neck and bridge together, each through its own tone.
- Treble (bridge): Bridge Pickup (both coils). Source: Bridge pickup through the bridge tone.

- Hum cancelling and phase describe the generic pickup models, not a measurement of any specific Seymour Duncan model.
- Pickup resistance is not specified, so no numeric meter readings are given.
- The simulator's position summary names one tone control only; each tone sits on its own pickup's lead ahead of the toggle, so in the middle position both tones act on the combined signal.

## Check before plugging in

- In each toggle position, the meter across the jack should read the selected pickup, or both in parallel in the middle.
- Each taped red–white joint should read open to ground.
