Two humbuckers · Three-way toggle · Two push/pull volumes (one split each) · Two tones

Neck and bridge Seymour Duncan humbuckers, each with its own 500k push/pull volume and 500k tone with a .047 µF capacitor before a three-way toggle. Each volume's push/pull grounds that pickup's red–white coil link.

## Specific to this wiring

- The source titles the volumes as push/pull coil split.
- Each pickup's red and white leads are soldered together onto the middle lug of its own volume's push/pull.
- On each volume push/pull, the lug nearest the pot has a short wire to that volume's solder spot.
- Each volume's middle lug runs to a toggle pickup lug; the toggle common runs to the jack tip.
- Each tone takes its signal from its volume's input lug; each .047 cap sits between that tone's middle lug and casing.
- The bridge ground wire and the jack sleeve end on the bridge tone casing; the pot casings are linked.
- Solder = location for ground (earth) connections.
- The toggle tags are not labelled in the source, so they are mapped by what each does.

## Connections

1. Neck green → Neck volume casing (case, green)
2. Neck bare → Neck volume casing (shield, bare)
3. Neck volume push/pull nearest pot → Neck volume casing (case, black): Short wire to the solder spot.
4. Neck volume right lug → Neck volume casing (case): Lug bent onto the casing.
5. Bridge green → Bridge volume casing (case, green)
6. Bridge bare → Bridge volume casing (shield, bare)
7. Bridge volume push/pull nearest pot → Bridge volume casing (case, black): Short wire to the solder spot.
8. Bridge volume right lug → Bridge volume casing (case): Lug bent onto the casing.
9. Toggle frame → Bridge volume casing (case, black)
10. Bridge volume casing → Bridge tone casing (case, black)
11. Bridge ground wire → Bridge tone casing (case, black)
12. Bridge tone casing → Jack sleeve (case, black)
13. Bridge tone casing → Neck tone casing (case, black): Hops over the tip wire.
14. Neck volume casing → Neck tone casing (case, black)
15. .047 cap (bridge) → Bridge tone casing (case, black)
16. .047 cap (neck) → Neck tone casing (case, black)
17. Neck volume middle lug → Toggle neck lug (wire, black)
18. Bridge volume middle lug → Toggle bridge lug (wire, black)
19. Toggle common → Jack tip (wire, black): The tone-to-tone ground wire hops over it.
20. Neck white → Neck volume push/pull middle (wire, white)
21. Neck red → Neck volume push/pull middle (wire, red): Shares the lug with the neck white.
22. Neck black → Neck volume left lug (input) (wire, black)
23. Bridge white → Bridge volume push/pull middle (wire, white)
24. Bridge red → Bridge volume push/pull middle (wire, red): Shares the lug with the bridge white.
25. Bridge black → Bridge volume left lug (input) (wire, black)
26. Bridge volume left lug → Bridge tone left lug (wire, black)
27. Bridge tone middle lug → .047 cap (bridge) (wire, black)
28. Neck volume left lug → Neck tone left lug (wire, black)
29. Neck tone middle lug → .047 cap (neck) (wire, black)

## What each position does

- Neck, both knobs down: Neck pickup (both coils).
- Both, both knobs down: Neck pickup (both coils) and Bridge pickup (both coils) in parallel.
- Bridge, both knobs down: Bridge pickup (both coils).
- Neck, neck volume pulled: Neck pickup (split to one coil). Source: Pulling a volume splits that pickup.
- Both, neck volume pulled: Neck pickup (split to one coil) and Bridge pickup (both coils) in parallel. Source: Pulling a volume splits that pickup.

- Bridge, both pulled: Bridge pickup (split to one coil). Source: Pulling a volume splits that pickup.

- Hum cancelling and phase describe the generic pickup models, not a measurement of any specific Seymour Duncan model.
- Pickup resistance is not specified, so no numeric meter readings are given.

## Check before plugging in

- Both volumes down: in each toggle position the jack reads the selected humbucker, or both in parallel in the middle.
- Pulling a volume drops its own pickup to roughly one coil and leaves the other unchanged.
