Three single coils · Five-way blade · One volume · Neck/middle and bridge tones

Tonerider's Strat with the bridge tone mod: three single coils on a five-way blade, a 250k master volume, one 250k tone for the neck and middle pickups and one 250k tone for the bridge, sharing one .022 µF capacitor. Every position has a tone control.

## Specific to this wiring

- The front side of the blade selects the pickups: from the top, the bridge white, the middle yellow, the neck white and the common. The common is jumpered to the rear common, which runs to the volume input.
- On the rear side, the bridge lug feeds the bridge tone. The middle and neck lugs are jumpered together and feed the neck + mid tone.
- One .022 µF capacitor sits between the neck + mid tone and its casing; a jumper links it to the bridge tone so both share it.
- All three pickup black leads and the jack sleeve end on the volume casing. The sheet draws no bridge ground wire.

## Connections

1. Neck black → Volume casing (case, black)
2. Middle black → Volume casing (case, black)
3. Bridge black → Volume casing (case, black)
4. Volume ground lug → Volume casing (case, black)
5. .022µf cap → Neck + Mid Tone casing (case)
6. Neck + Mid Tone casing → Volume casing (case, black)
7. Bridge Tone casing → Neck + Mid Tone casing (case, black)
8. Jack sleeve → Volume casing (wire, black)
9. Bridge white → Switch front top lug (wire, white)
10. Middle yellow → Switch front second lug (wire, yellow)
11. Neck white → Switch front third lug (wire, white)
12. Switch front common → Switch rear common (wire, black): Jumper across the blade.
13. Switch rear common → Volume input lug (wire, black)
14. Switch rear middle lug → Switch rear neck lug (wire, black): Short jumper on the blade.
15. Switch rear neck lug → Neck + Mid Tone middle lug (wire, black)
16. Switch rear bridge lug → Bridge Tone lug (wire, black)
17. Volume middle lug → Jack tip (wire, white)
18. .022µf cap → Neck + Mid Tone outer lug (wire)
19. Neck + Mid Tone outer lug → Bridge Tone lug (wire): Bare jumper so both tones share the capacitor.

## What each position does

- Bridge: Bridge pickup.
- Bridge + middle: Middle pickup and Bridge pickup in parallel.
- Middle: Middle pickup.
- Middle + neck: Neck pickup and Middle pickup in parallel.
- Neck: Neck pickup.

- Pickup resistance and magnet polarity are not specified, so no numeric meter readings or hum-cancelling claims are given.

## Check before plugging in

- In each blade position, the meter across the jack should read the selected pickup, or two pickups in parallel in positions 2 and 4.
- With the volume at zero, tip and sleeve should read as a short.
- In position 1 (bridge), only the bridge tone should change the sound; in position 5 (neck), only the neck + mid tone.
