“Example part” means any part with the same value and lugs will do; the source does not name a brand. “Generic” stands in for an unspecified pickup: check your own pickup's lead colours before you solder.
Specific to this wiring
- The pickup cable carries a white lead, a black lead and a bare shield wire.
- The white lead goes to the volume's left lug; the black lead and the bare shield wire both end on the upper-left solder spot on the volume casing.
- The volume's right lug is linked to its casing with a short black wire.
- The source labels the jack wires: 'Signal/Hot Wire to Output Jack Tip Lug' from the volume's middle lug, and 'Ground Wire to Output Jack Sleeve Lug' from the volume casing.
- The 'Ground Wire from Bridge' ends on the right-hand solder spot on the volume casing, the same spot as the jack ground wire.

- The Rebel 90 is simulated as a generic two-conductor single coil; hum and phase describe that generic model, not the Rebel 90.
- Pickup resistance is not specified, so no numeric meter readings are given.

Check before plugging in
- With the volume up, the meter across the jack should read the pickup's resistance.
- The volume casing, the jack sleeve and the bridge ground should all read continuous with each other.
Measure across the output jack with a multimeter on its resistance range. No exact readings are given where the source does not specify the pickups.
