Parts and values

Specific to this wiring

• Rail pickups (Pro Track / Fast Track) use generic-humbucker-four-conductor-dimarzio stand-ins; black+white series links taped.
• Shared-capacitor Strat tones: .022µF on the neck tone end lug to ground; jumper from that lug to the bridge tone wiper.
• Switch tags mapped by function to oak-grigsby-5-way-blade.

Connections

In soldering order: grounds first, then the switch, the pickups and the signal path.

What each position does

Checked with the Tinkercaster wiring engine against the switching the source describes.

• Custom-taper pots are treated as linear by the simulator.

Before you solder

• Identify every lead on your pickups against the source's colours.
• Rail pickups (Pro Track / Fast Track) use generic-humbucker-four-conductor-dimarzio stand-ins; black+white series links taped.
• Shared-capacitor Strat tones: .022µF on the neck tone end lug to ground; jumper from that lug to the bridge tone wiper.
• Switch tags mapped by function to oak-grigsby-5-way-blade.
• Use a small amount of solder, heat both surfaces, and hold the joint still as it cools. Lead-free solder may have a matte finish.

Check before plugging in
